Hi, I’m Dr. Ben Bacon, and I’m thrilled to be here in North Carolina, bringing my years of experience and my passion for helping people to this amazing community. Originally from Texas, I relocated to North Carolina after serving in the Air Force, where I had the opportunity to undergo advanced training in sedation dentistry in order to provide the highest level of care to our nation’s service members. My goal is to ensure that every patient, of all ages, who walks through my door feels at ease, confident, and well cared for.

A Foundation in Excellence

I graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences and then went on to New York University College of Dentistry, where I had the honor of graduating as Valedictorian. My dedication to excellence continued throughout my education, and I received numerous awards, including the Dr. Edward G. Kaufman Award for Academic Excellence and the Dr. William S. Kramer Award for Academic Excellence. After receiving my DDS, I completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency while serving in the Air Force at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.

Dental Nerd? Guilty as Charged: Yes, I’m a self-proclaimed dental nerd! I graduated as the valedictorian from NYU College of Dentistry and picked up multiple national academic awards along the way. Honestly, I just really love teeth!

Air Force Roots, Healthy Smiles: Before opening my practice, I had the honor of serving as the sole sedation specialist at Vandenberg Air Force Base. I treated our brave service members with advanced surgical, cosmetic, and restorative care. I’m grateful for the experience and all the service men and women I was able to help.

CrossFit Games Athlete: I’m not just about teeth — I’m also about discipline and performance. In 2013, I competed in the CrossFit Games. Precision and hard work are a big part of my life, whether it’s in the gym or in the dental chair.

Family First: While I’m proud to be a doctor, the title I love the most is 'Dad.' Whether it’s grilling ribs in the backyard or chasing my kids around the park, nothing makes me happier than spending time with my family.

Texas-Born, BBQ-Bred: Born and raised in Texas, I take my brisket seriously. When I’m not fixing teeth, you’ll find me smoking meat or perfecting my secret spice rub. BBQ is an art form, and I’m always learning to make it better.

What I love most about practicing dentistry is the ability to make a real difference in people's lives. Whether I’m relieving pain or creating a beautiful, confident smile, I get to help my patients feel better about themselves every day. Dentistry is both a rewarding and challenging field, and I enjoy solving complex dental problems using the latest techniques and technology.

Over nearly a decade of practice, I’ve gained extensive experience in a variety of dental fields, including general dentistry, endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, sleep dentistry, restorative procedures, and Invisalign. I have advanced training in sedation dentistry, which helps my patients relax during procedures, and I’m passionate about providing pain-free treatments that help improve both your smile and your overall dental health.

In addition, I offer advanced services like same-day crowns, dental implants, and cosmetic procedures to ensure that you can receive top-notch care with the latest technology.

For me, patient care is all about trust. I truly believe in treating every patient like family. I take the time to explain all treatment options, answer your questions, and help you feel confident in the care you’re receiving. Whether you’re coming in for a routine cleaning or a more complex procedure, I want you to feel relaxed and at ease every step of the way.

Giving Back to the Community

Serving others has always been at the heart of what I do. After years of caring for veterans, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for their sacrifices and the unique dental challenges many of them face. Giving back to those who’ve served our country is one of the most meaningful parts of my work, and I’m proud to help meet veterans living in and around Greensboro dental needs with respect and compassion.

Outside the office, my family and I are grateful to call Greensboro home. We’re actively involved at Lawndale Baptist Church, where our faith keeps us grounded and connected. Our kids love playing for Fusion Soccer and staying active through programs at the Spears YMCA, which has become a second home for our family.

We’re also some of the newest—and biggest—fans of the Greensboro Gargoyles Hockey Team. As their team dentist, I get to combine two things I love: supporting local sports and keeping players smiling both on and off the ice.

At the end of the day, this community has given so much to us, and it’s an honor to give a little back in return.
